Unique Student Identifiers (USI)
As per the Unique Student Identifiers Act 2014, all students undertaking nationally recognised training in Australia must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI).
What is a USI?
A USI is a reference number made up of 10 digits and letters that:
- Creates an online record of your training achievements,
- Ensures your records and transcripts are kept safe and accessible,
- Is mandatory for issuing any qualification or statement of attainment.
Providing Your USI
- If you already have a USI, you must provide it when completing your Enrolment Form.
- If you do not have a USI, you may:
– Authorise Monday College to create one on your behalf, or
– Create it yourself by visiting: https://www.usi.gov.au/students/get-a-usi
Important: Monday College cannot issue your certificate or statement of attainment without a valid USI or a formal notice of exemption.
How to Create a Unique Student Identifier (USI)
To create your USI, you will need:
- A valid form of identification (e.g., passport, visa, birth certificate, Medicare card, driver’s licence),
- Access to the internet and a valid email address or mobile number.
