Course Description

The CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating provides a trade outcome in painting and decorating for residential and commercial construction work. This qualification equips students with the practical skills and knowledge to prepare surfaces, apply paints and decorative finishes.

Course Duration

This qualification will be completed in 52 Weeks. This will include 44 weeks of training and assessment spread over four (4) study periods of 11 weeks each and a total of eight (8) weeks of study break periods divided between study periods.

Course Delivery

This course at Monday College will be delivered face to face in classroom. Learners are able to access simulated environment by case studies and relevant workplace documentation as well as interacting with people to achieve knowledge and skills defined in each unit of competency for this qualification.

Entry Requirements

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification as per the CPC
Construction, Plumbing and Services Training Package.
However, international students entering this course must meet the following:

Age requirements

Students must be 18 years or above at the commencement of the course.

Academic Requirements

Completion of Year 12 or equivalent, or relevant experience in the civil or
construction field.

English Language Requirements

ELTS (Academic) score of 6 or equivalent (TOEFL IBT 60, PTE Academic 50).
Alternatively, 5 years of full-time study in an English-speaking country.

Hardware/Software requirements

Aussie Training Courses provides learners Office 365 account (free of charge) with access to online Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneDrive etc to facilitate the training and communication. Aussie Training Courses will provide access to computers/laptops for students to use on campus. However, for students to work on assessments, tasks and self-study, all learners are expected to have access to a laptop or computer with Windows/macOS operating system at their own cost.

Note: Some assessment tasks are completed using a computer and internet, and it is essential for the student to possess basic computer skills.

continue their studies in higher-level qualifications within the Construction,

Plumbing and Services Training Package such as the CPC50220 Diploma of

Learners will be able to have their competency from prior learning and work
experience recognised in this qualification through the following

Students with relevant work experience or informal learning may be eligible for RPL, reducing the overall study duration.

Qualification

Upon successful completion of this course, students will receive a CPC30620 Certificate III in Painting and Decorating and a Record of Results. Students who do not complete all units will receive a Statement of Attainment for the units successfully completed.
